View from the Road - David Orr, PE
The FHWA and AASHTO just finalized an agreement to allow access for all local agencies to utilize the AASHTO TC3 library of training! I assure you that this is great news. Keep reading!
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) has a series of 120 plus online training modules available through their Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council (TC3). Prior to the agreement with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), local agencies needed to purchase access to those modules. FHWA has purchased access for everyone who works for a local or tribal road or street department! If you work for a local government, you will now have access to all of the modules in the TC3 library!
You will need an AASHTO account to access the online training courses. Please go to https://register.transportation.org, select Register, and then enter your agencies email address to create an AASHTO account. A YouTube video walks through the process at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcFONY2R78s.
To gain unlimited access to the curriculum use the Promotion Code: D5X3-B3D9-52CB-4XCX. To browse and gain access to the TC3 course offerings, go to https://tc3.transportation.org/.
More details can be found on the Cornell Local Roads Program website. We will also be providing more details over the summer as we get information from FHWA. Look for a full write up in the fall newsletter.
